El Tropezón offers a variety of fresh and frozen authentic Mexican dishes. A truck of many locations in Regina and surrounding areas.
El Tropezón is run by owners Roberto and Valeria Flores who are driven by a desire to make real Mexican food available locally. Mexican street food is one of the most varied parts of the cuisine. It can include tacos, quesadillas, pambazos, tamales, huaraches, alambres, al pastor, and food not suitable to cook at home, including barbacoa, carnitas.
Roberto Flores De la Cruz was born in San Buenaventura Coahuila, Mexico. At 17 he moved to Kendal Saskatchewan to go to Montmartre School. After learning English, he returned to Mexico to study at the Institution Culinario De Mexico in Monterrey Nuevo León, México for two years. He went on to cook at his family’s restaurant and spent time with a catering company before opening his own restaurant/bar “El Tropezon” in 2011 with the help of his family and wife, Valeria Romo. In 2015 Flores returned to Canada.
